Hasindu Jayasinghe is a Sri Lankan textile-based artist and graduate of the Department of Fashion Design, University of Moratuwa. His practice bridges contemporary textile art, material experimentation, and cultural narratives rooted in Sri Lanka's coastal communities.

Working primarily with textiles, Jayasinghe translates these coastal narratives through layered fabric surfaces enriched with hand embroidery, sewing, and hand-stitching techniques. Using organic cotton, natural and synthetic dyes, and experimental dyeing processes developed through his own practice, he creates tactile compositions that evoke traces of salt, movement, ritual, and transformation. Stitching becomes both a mark-making process and a means of recording memory within the material.
