This work serves as a visual metaphor for the immense value and delicate nature of our oceans. At the center of the composition, a new-born sleeping peacefully within a shell represents marine life in its most vulnerable and precious state. Just as an infant requires gentle care, nurturing, and protection to survive, the ocean’s intricate ecosystems demand our guardianship. Encircling the central figure are vibrant marine elements—an octopus cradling the shell, tropical fish, pearls, and coral-like blossoms—symbolizing the rich biodiversity and life-sustaining power of the sea. Through striking colours and classical figurative elements, the artwork urges viewers to recognize the ocean not merely as a resource, but as a fragile, living sanctuary that we must actively safeguard for generations to come.
